About Sensory Corner

Sensory Corner was born out of a genuine need — the need for high-quality, beautiful, and truly satisfying sensory tools that don't look clinical or childish. Our journey began when we started 3D printing to create sensory items for our son, Rian, who is non-verbal and has complex special needs including Chiari malformation of the brain, clubfoot, hypermobility, epilepsy, narcolepsy, cataplexy, and functional neurological disorder (FND).

What started as a parent's desire to help our own child quickly expanded. We began providing items for Rian's class, then set up a stall at his school's Christmas market. From there, we progressed to attending local markets at weekends, and eventually found a permanent home at our physical outlet in the Richmond Centre in Derry City Centre.

After trading for over a year, we've discovered something important: sensory and tactile items like ours simply don't exist in our geographical location. We're passionate about changing that — both through our physical stall and now through this online shop. We want to reach as many SEN kids and adults as possible, whether they're in our community or anywhere else in the world.

Every item we make is printed fresh to order. No mass production, no warehouse full of identical items. Just a passionate maker, a 3D printer, and a whole lot of love for the craft — and for the sensory community we're honoured to serve.
